As the name implies, this half will be run on a boring course. It will be entirely on a county highway on the outskirts of Batesville. We will start at the DHS office in Moorefield and run east on Hwy 69. Go out 6.5 miles (or 3.1), cross the highway and come back. Easy enough. The boring part is there is nothing to see. Fields. Some houses. Cows and horses. And the shoulder of the highway. Boring. As. Crap.
The purpose (there better be one, right?) is to give runners, especially Half Fanatics, a race to run without spending a lot of $$. There just aren't a lot of half marathons in our area. Now we have another. You're welcome.
I will also offer a 10k to run with the half marathon. Same course as last year. Same entry fee. I'm charging you for the first 6.2 miles. The last 6.9 miles I offer for free. What a deal!

There will be a shirt. There will be a silly, cheap "medal". This isn't a serious race. There will be no awards or trophies. But if I can help you earn another moon with the Half Fanatics, I'm a good guy.
